Question about Pathology Report

I am six rounds into my chemo. It's been an adventure and I find myself looking back at my pathology report. Now, I am node positive. Two macro, one micro and had a 5cm tumor and a 2.5 tumor. In reading my report, it states that I have extensive high-grade DCIS but they cannot identify an infiltrating component, so my stage is based on the largest tumor and its characteristics. Out of curiosity, did anybody else have a pathology report state they could not find the infiltrating part of their cancer?

What you have is "Occult" primary breast cancer. While considered rare, there have been others like yourself, here on this discussion board. You might wish to do a search on this board using the word "occult" to trace others like yourself.
