Mum's been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer...

Hi everyone,

First off, what a fantastic website with some truly inspiring stories.

There is such an incredible amount of information to take in so I thought it best to start my own thread so I can try and streamline relevant information for my Mum's case. My mum is 58, a lump was found during her routine mammogram two weeks ago, she returned a week later to be told it is most likely cancer and today she visited the Jarvis Centre (Royal Surrey) to be told it is stage 3. She has an appointment to have the lump removed on the 17th December and only then will they know if it's moved to the lymph nodes.

What should Mum and I be reading and understanding and doing in the meantime?
