Not sure this is where I should be posting but I'll give it a go. My very best friend has just been diagnosed with Papillary Breast Carcinoma most likely stage 2. She is a 25 year survivor of Hodgkin's Lymphoma treated with chemo and radiation.I went with her for her breast surgeons' consult and she suggested, rightly so IMHO,a mastectomy, probably bilateral. My friend then went for a second opinion and this surgeon did not completely rule out a lumpectomy and further radiation. Naturally this sounds much better to my friend. Is there anyone out there that has had HL, recieved mantel radiation and then went on to develope breast cancer ,treated with lumpectomy and more radiation ?And if so , how are you doing? This whole scenario seems so bizzare to me.I'm not expecting too many answers to this problem but I thought I'd throw it out there.
