Background: diagnosed with dcis at 29, strong family history. Genetic counselor predicted my risk of BRCA mutation to be 78% or so... Earliest death in family of breast and ovarian cancer was 38, so they want my ovaries out "yesterday" if I have a BRCA mutation, recommending i have it done at same time as mastectomy in a week and a half.

My BRCA test results were marked Lab Priority and supposed to be back 1.5 weeks ago, and no one is responding to my messages. A week ago they finally said my test had been delayed by a shortage of reagents and liquids in the lab but the testing had been resumed and my dr should get results any day. 8 days later, no one is returning my calls or emails, dr and i are getting pretty frustrated. I'm not trying to be a brat, but with surgery date 12 days away, I'm running out of time to coordinate an oophorectomy with the gynecological surgeon for the same day as my mastectomy.

Anyone else experiencing this?
