In September, 2013 I had the bilateral mastectomy direct to implant. This means that I had implants put in instead of spacers. After healing, I had radiation. I've had continuous pain and am going to have the implants removed. I'm trying to decide if I would want to go through having a DIEP surgery or just be without. Prior to surgery I had been diagnosed with RA/possibly Lupus and fibromyalgia. I don't know if my pain is caused from the manipulation of my pect muscles or one of the other issues. I'm still tender to the touch, under my breast, between breasts, under arm, and in my armpit.
I moved from MO to KS this year and do not have PS here. I've heard great things about Dr. Buescher however she isn't taking new patients. Any recommendations would be appreicated.
