Breast Implants and DCIS

I was just diagnosed with DCIS and I have 5 year old breast implants. Haven't had my surgical consultation yet, but I'm wondering what others experiences have been with treatment and their implants. Thanks

I really hope that you still follow this forum as I think I may be the second person with implants to be diagnosed with DCIS, mine is high grade. The consultant wants to remove my implants, remove the effected duct and treat with radiotherapy. I have been told that I will not be able to have the implants replaced in the future and there is no other way to reconstruct. I fear will look like a 39 year old with 90 year old boobs.

I used to be smaller than a 32AA and wih having implants for nearly 20 years (second lot after the PIP scandal 3 years ago) I have ended up with 32F due to encapsulation of the first implants. The consultant doesn't feel that there's anything wrong with leaving my this way. Her only suggestion has been that she will remove the other implant so I am even.

Is there anyone else that has been through treatment with implants? Please
