Arimidex and headaches

Started Arimidex on Monday after a 4 month break and my head has been pounding ever since. The pharmacist said to give it a few more days and hopefully my body will get used to the new drug and they will go away. Anyone else start out with a terrible constant headache and then it faded?

What other SE should I be looking out for? My Dr. said to give this a try and if it's just not for me he not opposed to trying another AI but he said this one would probably have the least SE.

    a little nauseous too?

    should i be worried or give my body a little time to adjust?

    just feeling defeated, very tired, guilty cause i just can't keep up with my 9 year old...

    Yes. I had a headache for about the first week but it did go away. Had the slight nausea as well for about the same. Really slight for me. All did go away! Hang in there! It should get better!

    mcgis, you might try taking it at a different time. I'm on Anastrazole (generic Arimidex), and I've noticed distinctly different SEs depending on whether I take it at bedtime or in the a.m. Thankfully, I haven't had headaches, but my joint aches are much less when I take it at bedtime. Just a thought. Deanna
