I had a visit with my oncologist's PA this afternoon to discuss the chemo treatment medicines that are going to be used. I will be receiving Doxorubicin ( Adriamycin ) once every 21 days for 4 cycles and then Cyclophosphamide once a week for 12 weeks by port/cath. I would like to know if anyone else has had this medicine for their breast cancer. I have a great fear about the side effects due to a lot of allergies i have to different things. After the treatments i am to have surgery to remove the mass and then radiation which the radiation doctor will discuss later. i am getting a lymph node biopsy and port cath put in on December 8. The first chemo treatment will be on December 16. This will definately be a Christmas season to remember ... i wish someone would wake me up from this awful dream ...
