Surgical Menopause after DCIS

Hello. Not sure where to post this but I'm curious about others experiences. I had DCIS and I'm 38 and BRCA2+. I had my BMX earlier this year and most of my reconstruction is done. Three weeks ago I had my ovaries and tubes out along with my uterus to reduce my risk of ovarian cancer. I'm not be offered HRT since my DCIS was ER/PR+. I'm rather nervous about what to expect. The surgery was a breeze compared to the BMX and my gyn onc said the menopause symptoms will probably be the worst part of it all. I just wondered when do all the menopause symptoms kick in?
