Is skin cancer something than can result from breast cancer? My dermatologist looked at what was a skin infection on my face. She gave me some bacterium cream that cleared it up but I noticed a little scab around my right side near rib cage it has enlarged to the size of a quarter the skin is pealing. I think I got ringworm from my kitties. The area is odd i've been putting Lo tramin cream on it. It feels better I hope it is not a skin met.

I have an appointment on the 25th I am so afriad it may be cancer. It is oozing a little went from a dime size as to a quarter size it one day? Any ideas?

Meow, it could be all kinds of things, but you ought to have the dermo take a look at it.

Help it got bigger and sure seems to be ringworm.

I looked at e how and I am applying a bleach/water soaked gauze to the spot.

I think I got this from my kitty. The vet visit the other day shows the cats are in the clear but now I have it.

Anyone else have this happen?

meow - try an antifungal - you can get one over the counter, like Lotrimin, or you can cover the spot with clear nail polish. As far as a link between skin cancer and breast cancer, I believe there is some thought that melanoma may be connected due to genetic mutation (pten and cowden's) but less connection between the more common forms of skin cancer and breast cancer. I have had at least 25 skin cancers - all basal cell, and they started 20 years prior to my breast cancer diagnosis.

Thanks I did put anti fungal on the spot. At least the black lamp doesn't sho any flouessence. I think the bleach patch worked

sorry for the problem but do hope you have an apt with a derma?

I saw one this past summer for one of those full body checks....they found a tiny thing on my leg to biopsy and all well but honestly, the subject of my past BC history, was only briefly mentioned and I have a ton of moles including some on my boob!
