I'm recently diagnosed and in the process of testing. The first biopsy came back inconclusive so they have scheduled me for a ct guided biopsy. Has anyone else done this? Can you give me an idea of how it was for you so I can know what to expect please? Terrified and just wanting to crawl in a hole somewhere.

I had a CT guided with my kidney cancer.  I was so nervous I was shaking all over.  The radiologist was really nice though.  He ran and got me 2 Ativans and waited to poke me until they had kicked in.

You'll be fine. They zoom you in there, take a few pics, then pull you out to mark you.  then they put you back in the scanner with the Dr by your side until you're in the right position.  Might get a needle poke at this point, then back into the scanner.  My experience was more complicated than a breast bio, but it took maybe 20 minutes total.

Hang in there!  And good luck.

Hey Countryroads, can i ask you what were the results from the biopsy? Why did you get a biopsy, i don't see any info.

First, my best wishes to you! My daughter is 31yrs old, with mets for 3 yrs, but now it's all over the skeleton and we went to an interventional radiologist, and guided by the CT they did a biopsy from her hip. At this point, bcs the chemo is not really workg, they wanna know if there is more info on the type of cancer she has to target it better.

Canuklehea i hope you are on the road to get the right meds.
