Swell spot design change
My LE is trunal and I've been using a "breast" Swell spot which covers over the MX scar and under my armpit, which are the places that I need it. I decided it was time to get a new one and ordered it again from Lymphedema Products. I just got it today and I think they have changed the design!! It looks really different from the one I'm wearing. The new one does not lay flat, it puffs out, as if it is covering an actual breast. And it has a big seam on it that would be pressing against my skin while I wear it. It is supposed to be reversible, but women needing it on the Left breast side like me,, are forced to have the seam again the skin. I'll post a picture later comparing the two of them.
I am rather distressed as I have spent a lot of time searching for compression that works for me. And using the old style Breast swell spot with a breast binder has been doing the job. Now I have to search all over again???
Does anyone have any suggestions? I need something for my chest, over the MX scar and extending to under my arm pit.
Seriously, I'm so frustrated that I wanted to weep. I called LE products and they have no idea of a design change. I'll have to call Solaris, I guess and see what's up.

Glen nir the swell spot I have been using for quite a few years is exactly like the first picture you posted.

Glennie, I use this one.
I put it under a sports bra(lot's of trial & even more error). It is totally flat. I pull it over towards the armpit.
I usually only compress at night. I'm bilaterally flat. Not sure if a sports bra would work for someone who had a single MX.

Maybe you could take the old one to a local seamstress and have her make you a copy?
Edited: Better yet, it seems Solaris makes custom swell spots. Surely they could make one from their old pattern and call it cup size zero. If you look in their catalog the breast swell spots are now cup sized.

I had no idea that they made custom swell spot. I will definitely look into that. I see my LE therapist next week, so I'll see if she has other ideas. Thank you for the info.
