I lived in NY and since moved. I have not completed my reconstruction process. I now live in the Orlando area (actually Deltona) I am searching for a doctor to finish up my reconstruction. I do not mind traveling, if the doctor is very good! I have (blue/cross blue shield insurance). I am 2 years since my mastectomy, I want to get to the finish line. Please help...

I'm sure that someone from Orlando will pop on and have a suggestion. I live up in Gainesville and the guy up here is Jason Rosenberg. His website is www.floridadiep.comI did not have recon, nor am I intending to. I did see him about removing some excess skin sometime in the future. He practices at the hospital that I work at, and is known to be a very skilled and meticulous surgeon.

Hi Coffee,
You could try Dr. Scott Rotatori in Winter Park. He's scheduled to do my surgery next week, and I've heard very good things about him.

Hi Coffee,
You could also try Kendall Peters in Orlando..I am very pleased with him so far! Great bedside manner!

Dr Orlando Cicilianni at florida Hospital on Orange and princeton.....a couple of us here use him that I know of, he is awesome.

Any more doctor options? I need to make a appointment asap. I'd like a referral on a doctor who has finished your reconstruction process. Thanks

my mom is getting surgery at Moffitt Cancer Center. We were told this is the best place for surgery, my moms own primary doctor went to Moffitt for surgery.

coffee - I will send you a PM. Also, there is an Orlando ladies thread - you might take a look. Here is the link:

I ended making a appointment with Dr. Richard Klien in Orlando. I thought he was very nice and knowledgeable. I am suppose to have my breast reconstruction of 2 plus years corrected. He said that my implants are like trapped in scar tissue. I believe the name was capsular contracture. The implants don't have anywhere to expand to. He is going to go in and take out old implants, put in new ones, bigger size to take up more skin. He is going to clean the breast pocket sort of speak. Basically will be starting all over. He is going in under my breast, not through my original scars. Has anyone had this done? Nervous but hoping for good results:)
