Predicting if chemo drugs will work...

Why do these promising advances always say it will take 5 to 10 years to become clinically available? 5 to 10 years from now are will still going to be simply administering toxic chemos for breast cancer -- just picking them better? The research itself is great news -- if it was available now. I guess I just want bigger advances by 5 to 10 years from now -- like finding causes and eradicating this horrible disease!

    5-10 years is unacceptable. Hasn't this knowledge been around for years already? I think it's just a way of keeping us optimistic. They are trying to work out how to get as much money out of this, not any safety issue.

    YES you are right - this is not good enough, both the findings and the time it takes for them to be available.
    I think i've seen at least 3 or 4 times the statement that a cure was available in 10-15 years. Why waste time on this crap then...
