Skin rash above mastectomy scar

Hi everyone,

I have had a rash/peeling skin since July 2014 just above my mastectomy scar. I had a regular visit with my onc in August and he didnt seem to think it was anything to worry about. I thought it was probably a side effect of radiation. However it has been four months and it is still there, albeit the same size. IT just looks like a wound that has healed, but sort of rough on the surface. I do not feel any nodules, or bumps under it. I am wondering if anyone knows if this could be skin mets. I meet my onc again in December, but am so worried that I was wondering if I should go get it checked immediately. Does anyone with experience of rashes after radiation have any idea what this might be. I have attached a picture.I am most worried that this is a recurrence in the skin, but have no idea what that looks like. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Ann, this doesn't look like the pictures of skin mets that I've seen. A trip to the dermatologist might be your next step.

I am the queen of post mastectomy rashes!!! I have had what looks like cellulitis, what looks like chicken pox, you name it! I did go to a dermatologist for the worst rash. I recommend that :

My mother has this same scar after her mastectomy. Were you able to get a second opinion?
