hi everyone. Just wanted to let you know had lumpectomy on October 10th came back with too high of margins. Had full mastectomy on right side yesterday. I must tell you I do not miss my breast at all. I feel so relieved to know that most of the cancer now is out of my body. Just wanted you all know that my bone scan came out clean and my CT scan it came out clean with the exception of a tumor found on the adrenal gland. However Onc and the surgeon don't seem too concerned about it because of its size. I will go in for further CAT scan targeting just that gland I feel really good about everything. Just wanted to share some good news. Start chemo in 3 weeks god bless to all of you out there. Janine.

    Janiner...Great!! Glad the surgery and there after went well and you are adjusting to the mastectomy....so long cancer! Thankful you receive lots of great news from your scans! Keep us up-dated on you adrenal gland...glad they're not too concerned! Drink lots of water during chemo and exercise as you can...maybe walk each day! There will be some good days mixed in with the not so good days during chemo...plan something fun for yourself during those good days! Come back and ask any questions you may have during chemo. Losing my hair was harder than my boob...but it does grow back, so remember that!

    Hi All. I am back. I start chemo on the 20th, but had another CT scan yesterday for the tumor on the adrenal gland. Waiting for results is the worst. If cancer comes back that would put me to stage IV.

    I am happy to say the doctor just called me and said it's a benign tumor!!!! oh happy happy happy  happy  happy  happy  happy  joy joy. I am so relieved and thankful! Now fully ready and charged to start chemo and kick ass!

    So happy to have all of you and this website! I spent all night relieving my nerves reading post after post.

    Take care all! YAY I'M SO HAPPY! (yes, I am shouting from the rooftops!). I can do this thing!
