Met with my Doctor yesterday, took my boyfriend and close friend with me to hear when I couldn't and ask questions. I got the Diagnosis, the good news is it is a "low grade 1" between Stage 1-3; will know more after surgery. I am having a double Mastectomy and Lat Flap then reconstructive surgery. I found out I will lose my left nipple along with the breast due to the location of the masses.

I was wondering if anyone had experience with extreme fatigue prior to surgery; also any experience on recovery time and treatment; we are hoping no chemo maybe some XRT and then Tamoxifen daily for 5 years.

Needless to say I feel like I  have been in the swirl of a F5 tornado the last 10 days; I'm constantly nauseated and fatigued and just ready to begin healing and feeling better. Surgery date TBD after blood work, thyroid test and meeting w/reconstructive breast specialist.

Thank you to All of you; this site is a blessing for women like us....Survivors,like us!
