BMX was Sept 22nd.  Had 4 drainage tubes that didn't seem to want to stop draining.  My last tube was taken out due to losing pressure in the bulb - it still drained 80 cc per day.  That afternoon I felt something wet rolling down my side.  The fluid had found a weak spot in the incision and opened it about 1 1/2 inches.  My BS said to delay putting in the port and chemo until this is healed.  I've been taping maxi-pads to my chest over that stupid hole.  It's been a week and no change in the hole or the output.  I go back to the BS tomorrow.  Anyone else have this?  How long will thus take?  My onc is getting impatient to start chemo.

I feel your frustration. I had a simular experience between surgery and radiation. I thought I would never heal after my incision split and started weeping constantly.  My BS saw me weekly, tested the fluid for infection (came back negative) and said I should heal over soon. In the end he opened up just under where my incision had split, put a thread through, and had me washing it out with saline twice a day. By the middle of the next week I stopped as it was closing over.

Its so frustrating when all you want to do is carry on with the next stage of treatment. I was desperate to start radiation.
