Centennial nodes

so I had my masectomy last wendsday and they did the centennial node disecction biopsy and at the time of the surgery they looked clear so they didn't remove any however now that that pathology results are back one of the four nodes did show cancer....so once again I feel like I'm waiting not sure what's going to happen I've alrea stArtsed my reconstruction with my spacer and still have the three drain bus in my team will discuss next week if they should go back on and remove all the nodes or what route for therapy as radiation isn't a great idea with out removing my spacer first ughhhh any fee

    I think you mean sentinel nodes and expanders 😊 I am not sure what the protocol is regarding the effects of axillary node dissection on expanders and rads but hopefully someone with experience will post soon. You might want to contact the mods to ask about correcting the thread title. Good luck to you.

    It is possible to do rads with your expander in place.  It would have to be overfilled (to help with shrinkage that rads cause).  Also, look into fat grafting for after rads to help repair some of the rads damage, either at the time you have surgery for permanent implants or a few months prior.
