Antibiotics and possible delay

So, I saw my L'dema nurse today following a severe cellulitis infection in August, that saw me in hospital for six days on IV antibiotics. I am having the Diep flap procedure on the 24th November.  She advised me I may  have to take prophylactic anti biotics before this and even think about delaying the procedure. I have to now wait til it is discussed with the onco=plastic surgeon and the breast team.

I am naturally  feeling a little disappointed. Has anyone any thoughts on this please and has anyone had to have antibiotic cover before a Diep procedure?. Should those of us who have had cellulitis always get AB cover before any op?
