herceptin

I was diagnosed last October,  had bilateral mastectomy. 

I have had 3 sets of different chemo, my last set was taxol and Introduced herceptin.

I feel that the herceptin has given me joint pain, thumbs locking, back aches. They want me to finish herceptin . I went off of heceptin for 6 weeks, I did not see much improvement but think the damage is done. Just recently went to rheumatologist and he thinks the herceptin is the culprit even though my onc. Say they have never heard of the pain I'm experiencing.  I was wondering if there is anyone out there that was diagnosed with her2 snd decided to forgo treatment of herceptin? Any advice greatly appreciated. I just am having a hard time making a decision what to do. Thank you

absolutely joint pain,  I was on it for a year, and had knee and hip pain. Was off for about 6 months, pain went away. Back on it for more than a year now - joint pain back!  Knee and hip   I use aleve to eliminate pain. It just is what it is I think.  My onc does acknowledge it, even minimally

I too have joint pains with my chemo regimen. I am on carbo/Taxotere/herceptin. My physician has prescribed narcotic drugs to help, and usually I feel better by 1 week post infusion. It appears that my symptoms are very predictable and follow a pattern.

I've been on Herceptin for 10 months.  I too get the joint pains, particularly in hip, knees and feet. Nel glad to hear this may go away once I finish treatment.
