I just got the call from my BS. Stage 1, grade 2 IDC. she's waiting for the hormone results. I am meeting with her on Wednesday to discuss the plans. She's very confident I will beat this and I pray she's right. I have two little boys that need me too much right now. I'm just numb.

Hello and welcome to the group you never wanted to be a part of. I know you are numb and scared, I am too but you just have to breathe and keep putting one foot in front of the other and think positive! Your boys will give you the strength you need to move forward in this journey and there are lots of ladies here who can help you make this journey who have been right where you and I are. I'm believing what everyone here has told me which is once you have all of the information and a treatment plan in place...the unknown becomes the known and you'll get through this. Take care of yourself .

So sorry, siren, for your joining the group.  The second worst time of this process is waiting for all the tests, scans and surgeries in order to get a complete picture of what the appropriate treatment plan is.  But that time will pass, and you will get through it.  Take my word for it, your life will resume again and will be remarkably the same as your precancer life.  Still, even with that, this is a frightening time.

    alexgram,

I see that you had a lumpectomy and later a mastectomy.  did the same cancer come back?  I just had a lumpectomy 2 weeks ago and am worried about cancer returning.
