one week before my 60th birthday I found that I have breast cancer :( it was July 3,2014. August 11 surgery - lumpectomy right breast and 3 nodes... September 3,2014 - surgery to clean margin. Dx stage IB - tumor 7mm, nodes 2/3, ER+, PR+ and HER2 positive by pathologist report - oncotype DX test show HER2 negative. I am so confused because 1 oncologist said that I need chemotherapy but when I saw 2nd oncologist for second opinion - she said that she don't think that I need chemotherapy. Of course I like 2nd opinion better - but scared... It's 2 month already since I had my 1st surgery and I need to do treatment - but I don't know which one???? I am so scared to do chemotherapy (plus than I have to have port and I am so afraid to do this because I have a history of superficial tromboflebitis).... I really don't know what to do... I have strong family history of breast cancer - my mother past away at age 41 and my sister past away at age 43 from breast cancer :(  My sister was suffer 4 years and I remember everything what she was going thru... I am very nervous person and on disability because of mental issue. Now I feel the worst - i have panic attacks 2-3 times a day... and afraid of chemo (side effects), and afraid to be very sick... My twins is still young - 22 years old and live with me. If someone have HER2 positive - please answer me. Thank you!

Take a friend and a notepad to see your specialist and write down what they say. Do not panic. You are very early in terms of size and the fact you're Her/er/pr +ve is a good thing as there are drugs which can help reduce recurrence. Breathe, get information and don't let the panic blind you to the facts.
