Hard, immovable lump on chest wall

I am 18 years old and have a hard, smooth, hard, immovable lump very close to the middle of my chest, right on the chest wall. It has been there for at least a year, causes almost no pain (unless I press on it and try to move it around) and hasn't changed shape or size at all. I'm so scared to check get it checked out but I think that I probably should.

Just wondering if anyone else has had any similar experiences and whether it could just be benign? From some research it seems that the location indicates it could be cancer, but the fact that it is smooth and hasn't changed shape/size in such a long time suggests otherwise.

Thanks for the help, I'm just really worried.

It is almost guaranteed benign. You should get it checked so you can stop worrying about it. The odds of having breast cancer at eighteen are pretty close to zero.
