    Awesome question! I am still undergoing chemo and scheduled for surgery May 30th. The statistics make me worry. How are you doing? Congrats on 2.5 years! I can't wait for that!

    urentfro - the OP originally posted in 2014, so should be closer to that 5 year mark now. Systemic therapy with targeted treatment brings the Her2+ risk closer to that of Her2- patients - which is great progress!

    Are you asking about monitoring? I would concur with the response before your post - each MO has their own philosophy about monitoring based onpreference, experience, and the clinical criteria for each patient. Even with a common Her2+ diagnosis, a patient with a stage III situational may be surveilled differently from a stage I patient. My MO does CA27/29 and CEA at each follow up and has scanned at both time intervals, and due to symptoms, which have thankfully not revealed more cancer for me, but have instead been due to other issues. I am almost 8 years from diagnosis, but this level of monitoring continues for me
