endometrial lining 17 mm thick Cancer

My wife had an ultrasound that showed a unknown 3 cm mass in her endometrial lining. The uterus is 17 mm thick in that area and the rest looks fine at 4mm thick. They cannot rule anything out until the removal of this "polyp"? Has anyone had one area only that was extremely thick and showing a mass of 3 cm? Her surgery is in two weeks and not sure what to make of it. TNBC with TC chemo a little over a year ago. Hurry up and wait............. Any thoughts?
