Scared- & question about lymphs

if you have a swollen lymph in your armpit does it always mean that the cancer has spread already??  Did anyone else have this???

    No - enlarged nodes can be caused by many 'things'.  Does not mean any BC is present though anything is possible. See your Dr!

    Many, many women, both on this board and off, have and/or had enlarged axillary nodes.  That is a cause for you to have them checked, but not a cause for alarm. I know it's easier to say it than to do it, but try not to let trouble in the front door just because he's knocking - make him break the door down if he wants in.  I know you've already been diagnosed; what have your doctors said?  I think you're considering double mastectomy.  They'll be checking and removing the sentinel lymph node (and undoubtedly more too).  Relax first, get it checked out, then go forward.  All the best to ya.
