Direct to implant reconstruction?

I was dx w/BC just over 3 weeks ago and have appts to see to different plastic surgeons.  I've already seen 2 surgeons.  One locally and one at Moffitt Cancer Center, the only hospital in Florida that's associated with the Nat'l Cancer Instit.

My question...My sister had BC and a double mastectomy about 18 months ago.  She had direct implants and they looked really great.  Even 2 days after surgery.

I've looked at quite a few pictures of BC reconstruction and I haven't seen anything that look as good as hers.

Am wondering what other peoples experience with direct to implant recon has been?  What were the factors that qualified you to be a candidate for direct implants?
