worried about bone mets

Hi ladies I am having bone scan on Tuesday. I have been having ongoing pain in lower back now for weeks. My mo had me stop taking femara I felt better but back pain continued.  They have ordered bone scan. I have just started taking aromasin. I posted before about my ongoing worry about recurrence. Before cancer I never worried that much about my health. Will this never ending worry about a recurrence ever end?

    Hello Jen1, 

    I want to say don't worry, but the reality is that once you have this disease 'worry' is what we do.  Odds are that this pain is something else.  Hang in there and let us know the results.  We are pulling for you.

    oh, Jen, I know just how you feel. I just want it to be "over." I just want to put it behind me. I just want to let myself believe that I'm going to be okay...

    But, every time I cough, or my head hurts, or my hip aches, I get so scared. This fear is catching up to me and making me... sad. Not depressed, not something a pill could help, just sad because I get it now that it will never really be over.

    About your back, odds are very good that it will be something harmless - a side effect of your medicine, maybe a little arthritis. I'm glad you're getting it checked and I will pray for good results! Please keep us posted.

    And I just wanted you to know that you're not alone in your fears. There are lots of great ladies here to keep you company!

    Jen, keep us posted once you find anything out. I worry about things daily as well. You're not alone in that department! It sucks!!! They say with time that will subside but for me it has gotten worse. I'm only a little over a year out from chemo but I'm Triple Negative so after chemo there's nothing else they can offer for TN patients. I'll be praying for you. Hang in there. XOXO

    hi ladies had my bone scan yesterday. Will let u all know when I get results. Still have breast infection on lumpectomy site but I think getting better.

    hi ladieseverything normal with bone scan. Maybe leftover effects from chemo  and arthritis.
