If a woman's breasts are throbbing and aching during
different time intervals for fairly a while, and or whether you feel a small
bump.. What Is this? Is it breast cancer? Or could it be symptoms of a breast
sore? PI need some breast cancer awareness .

Hi Jammie, so sorry you are experiencing these symptoms and have been for some time. Unfortunately, no one here can tell you what's going on, but it certainly doesn't mean you have breast cancer. There are many, many things that could be going on, but the only way to find out, is to see your Doctor.

Make an appointment and try not to worry too much, the majority of these breast issues turn out to be nothing sinister at all.

Hi Jammie, and welcome to Breastcancer.org.

We also recommend you to visit a doctor, as every lump should be checked by a profesional. Until then, we hope that you'll be reassured by the information at the main Breastcancer.org site called What Mammograms Show: Calcifications, Cysts, Fibroadenomas that reinforces that there are many
other benign masses that can come from testing.

    We hope this helps!

The last time I had tender, sore breasts - I was pregnant!

But, seriously, please make an appointment to see your doctor (starting with your family physician?) if this continues.  No one on this site can really advise, one way or another, what these symptoms may indicate.

    Best to you!

No, Jammie, it isn't that simple, you need to have the breast checked. It is imaging they use to detect abnormalities. Even then, there has to be further testing, if there is a suspicion of cancer. Please remember that most breast issues are NOT cancer!

Is there a reason you are avoiding going to be checked out?  Only a trained Medical professional can give you a definitive answer. We all know it is a scary thing to have to go and get checked, but there's every possibility that you are worrying needlessly and this could all be cleared up very quickly.

You don't mention your age, I have a feeling you may be very young, if that's the case, please speak to an older female, your Mother or and Aunt and get it checked out. If it isn't the case, get it checked out anyway! :) You'll feel better knowing what it is.

Let us know how you get on!
