    NY2TX,

It is a nightmare. The anxiety, the fear of the unknown. I was 58 also at diagnosis.

IF you need chemo, the next year will be a struggle. I had a lumpectomy, which is a cake walk compared to the reconstruction process of a mascetomy.

Still in shock that I have stage 3 cancer, there was much more in my axillary than my breast. It has been 15 months since I was dx & started this life changing train wreck.

Hopefully for you, it will be not as advanced, most ladies are not. I really sound like Debbie Downer, but it's ok. We need to vent about it, and then be able to laugh. I was so annoyed when friends would tell me to just stay positive. I wanted to knock them upside the head. ....lol...

Keep posting, my only way to cope in the beginning was to clean. Not my normal coping strategy. I had to be on my feet moving. Let us know what happens today.
