Letrozole side effects

Been on Letrozole 2.5 mg qd for 4 weeks following a lumpectomy & SAVI radiation 12 weeks ago. Now experiencing occasional discomfort in treated breast...not enough to call it pain, but wondering if I should be concerned or contacting surgeon or oncologist about it. Normally I'd pick up the phone & ask doctors; however, I'm a Full Time RVer & we're far away from our doctors. Has anyone else experienced this? Due to see doctors in March, 2015. Thanks for any comments!

Hello LadyPrica and welcome to the community. No one here can diagnose your problem from symptoms,
only examination and tests can achieve that, sorry. So our advice is to see your doctor or a doctor to have your site checked, at least call your Doctor. March is a long way off. Your doctor may be able to refer you to a clinic where you are now for a check-up.

You’ll find a wealth of information here both from the women and from the main site but no one here would be able to know for sure what your symptoms mean and so we strongly recommend that as well as getting support here, you see your doctor and talk with her/him about your concerns.

You may also find reading our discussion on Femara or Letrozole on our main site of interest.

    All the best

How fun to be an RVer (except when you're hundreds of miles from the doctor)!

If the area seems uncomfortable or "full", not really painful, some of us get lymphedema swelling that does not show up in the arm but across the chest. Hard to describe but something to consider. The new medication may not be the problem. Did you lift something recently or sleep funny, putting pressure on that side?

You don't want to wait until next year to get this evaluated so call your clinic. They can suggest a referral center, perhaps one with an LE therapist, once they know where you are located...
