Surgical Consult Tomorrow

Four different diagnostic procedures last week: mammogram, sonogram, biopsy and MRI. I have my pathology report, but I haven't been able to ask questions yet.

Tomorrow I consult with a surgeon who will give me the results of the MRI. I can't get my mind around it.

Edit: I put my diagnosis in my signature, but it's not showing up:

9/12/2014, IDC, Grade 2, axillary lymph node positive for metatastic breast carcinoma, ER+/PR+, HER2-

Thank you. They are going to do a thoracentesis to extract the fluid, and they will be testing it. My oncologist wants to do a PET scan to see if/where the cancer has spread, but so far my insurance hasn't approved it. It's already been twelve days since my diagnosis and no treatment yet.

    Is this normal?

Sorry you have to be here, but yes, it is a normal timeline so far. You are fortunate to have a diagnosis as quickly as you did. I had the first imaging 9/9, not diagnosed until 9/27, surgery not until 11/1.
