Question about regular mammograms "after" bc

Hello!  I had my new "baseline" mammo in march and will be having my first "regular" mammo later this month.  My question is:  at my 6 month mammo, a "sticker" was placed over my lumpectomy scar to mark it on the picture. Do they do that for regular mammograms?  How do they see if anything is hidden in the scar tissue if it's covered?

I wouldn't think so.  I have no experience with this, but it seems to me that now they have a "marked" baseline mammo, they can compare the new ones.

I've been going every 6 months since finishing treatment, so have had 3 mammo's on the cancer side so far.    They only put a sticker on once - on the middle of the three.   Not sure why then and not the other times than maybe it's a different tech or a different radiologist going to read it?   Seemed kind of random to me.
