CMF and hair loss question

I have been reading this website since I was diagnosed with IDC and DCIS last May, but I decided to join today because I am really scared at the rate I am loosing my hair and I want to find out if this is normal or not. I started CMF chemo almost three weeks ago and I noticed that yesterday my hair started falling out. I was told it may thin, but now every time I comb it (which I really try no to do much) many hairs fall. My question is, those of you who did CMF and had their hair thinned, how did it happen? Was it gradually (like a few hairs here and there) or sudden (lots of hair)? I am freaking out and tomorrow I will go wig shopping just in case.
