Hi I just had to have my tissue expander removed, and I feel guilty but I'm devastated. I feel disgusting having fake  double d on one side and mangled flatness on other. I know I was infected, but why does he say I have to wait six months? Here I did the hard part, I was so lucky to get off easy with cancer. no  further treatment, though oncologist says it 'wouldn't hurt' to do tamoxifen.  so this should be easy part. Yet it took months the first time before they could even start fills. I almost lost it once as scar wasn't healing. don't know  why except I knocked into a door didn't split skin... but they said maybe my body was fighting  till that point.

Anyhow I thought three month was pretty normal, especially if healing went well. Heck he was even upset I stuffed my bra. I cover scar in sterile dressing and antibiotic ointment... i feel so guilty when others are struggling to survive. But there couldn't be an area. Of my body to make me feel worse about myself if messed up, stupid as that sounds about me. I just want to be done

Ugh.  Sorry.  That really sucks.  Happened to my sister, too, and she had to wait a year before her PS would even consider trying again.  She wore an insert in her bra to help even things out while she was healing.  The second time was more successful, and she's fine now.  Good luck.

I guess it doesn't matter, but I just don't understand why I have to wait so long, you know?? Seems like most wait about 3mos. If no other issues. I had no radiation or such .... seems like all I do is wait :-)
