I am on ACT chemo regimen and when I started Taxol part, a number of unpleasant things happened to my nails. Some turned purple, some turned yellow and are trying to lift up and separate themselves from nail bed. Something is starting to ooze from underneath the nails, so sorry for the details.

MO made me sit with fingertips in ice water during Taxol infusion, but it didn't help, still same issues. I guess I will have to wait. Two weeks to go out of 20.

Anyone with the same problem? How long did it take to recover?

I don't know if it's too late, but keeping all your nails painted very dark (I used black) completely saved my nails through Taxol. I've also heard many times to rub tea tree oil on your nail beds and under your nails 2x a day. I'm so sorry you're having problems!

I was told to keep my nails painted - I used Sally Hanson Hard As Nails because that's what was recommended and I used a light shade - just because - now I'd probably use a very dark shade - anyway I kept my nails very, very short because otherwise they hurt like hell - I didn't lose any nails but my big toenails got infected and I was given an anti-biotic which cleared it up right away. I use cuticle oil on my nails a lot more now because they seem drier - didn't try the tea tree oil but it has anti-infection properties so think it would work well.

I started using OP Nail Envy early on and had no problems with nails through 4 DD A/C and 12 weekly Taxol.

I did wind up getting a black area on big toe 2 days after 2nd A/C but it was from something I did driving in a Powder Puff Mud Bog  (Got  2nd against much bigger bloggers).

I had issues on Taxol with keeping temp close to normal.  I had to have one of the glassed in cubicles with individual temp controls and get warmed blankets added throughout infusion.  I usually ran some where between 95 - 96f all the time but did drop to 94 for a short time.
