Triple Neg? Tested Positive and Negative for HER2

So on my biopsy I tested positive for HER2 and doc arranged targeted herceptin treatment along with chemo. I've since finished chemo. After surgery I tested negative for HER2 but doc says only 5% of HER2 tests are false positive whereas a larger percentage is false negative. The doc and I have decided to continue herceptin. I am BRCA1 positive and it's true that triple neg bc is common with this gene mutation. But I figured since I can't really know for sure whether I am HER2+ or not it's best to continue with herceptin just in case it is positive. Has anyone experienced this? I am very hopeful and positive either way that I will get through this.
