BRCA TEST

Received news today that my test for the BRCA1 and BRCA2 gene mutation was NEGATIVE. I can not explain the relief I feel.  Having our 14 year old daughter ask me of she is going to get breast cancer since I have it was the hardest blow since diagnosis. I'm so glad to tell her that her risks are only slightly elevated and she doesn't have to live in fear. I'm finally having my MRI on tomorrow, then meeting with the radiology oncologist next week for a consult. Final meeting with surgeon isn't until September 12th. 

Since I had to have my Mirena IUD removed last week, I'm waiting on an appointment for a uterine ablation as soon as possible. 

Lots of time is passing by, but it's all good.
