Exclusive: U.S. approval of Merck cancer immunotherapy expected soon

Companies including Bristol-Myers Squibb, Roche Holding AG and AstraZeneca Plc are racing to develop similar treatments for a variety of cancers. Some analysts expect the new class could generate more than $30 billion in annual sales worldwide by 2025.

    It's about time, notice they were talking about bladder, lung and skin cancer but it is a step in the right direction. We need drugs other than traditional chemo therapy that target the tumors and help the immune system target them as well.

    Interesting this is in the financial news stock going up on this news?

    I didn't read the article thoroughly but it looks like good news.  Now we need some mention of breast cancer immunotherapy on it's way...

    It is hitting the financial news because they want investors, I believe.  It is becoming a bit of a race, as cp418 has said, so we should be seeing things happening faster and faster (I hope so, anyway).
