Bone marrow failure after chemo

hoping someone can ease my fears. I was diagnosed w stage IV bc w mets to my liver in Nov '13. I'm 35 yo and completed 6 cycles of carbo and etoposide in March. Throughout chemo my blood counts would drop but always bounced back w the neulasta shot. Since chemo ended though, my blood counts have remained low. My WBC hovers between 2.7 and 3 while my platelets are between 75-91. My oncologist said he isn't concerned because they stay in a range and aren't steadily decreasing. I'm covered in bruises (doesn't help that I have a one year old who thinks I am a teething ring!) but other than that I feel pretty good. Had a scan today and my cancer remains stabilized and my liver functions are back in the normal range. Has anyone had experience with bone marrow failure? I know that my chemo drugs were very aggressive. Just wondering if they will bounce back and how long it should take. I'm also taking tamoxifen and get the lupron shot once a month. Thanks for advice! :)
