BB sized lump above lymph node scar

Options

I'm not sure why I decided to check my arm pit - I guess I hadn't really been too worried about recurrence.  I was heading to my post-op appt for my 2nd reconstruction surgery.  My ps surgeon said to watch it.  After talking with a friend who is also going through bc treatment, I decided to call my mo.  He won't be in til Monday and a nurse will call me then to tell me if he ordered an ultrasound.

It's about 1/4" above the sentinel node scar (which is nice and flat - never had any scar tissue lumps).  It's about the size of a BB and is firm.  It does move though - does bc ever move or is it always fixed?

I am a little anxious... But not too crazy yet.  But I would like to be mentally prepared just in case... If it is a recurrence, it would mean a mastectomy this time?

Hi SophiaMarie, I don't know if this is of any help to you, but a few weeks ago I found a hard small moveable lump just under my UMX scar. I had an appointment booked for my 6 monthly appt with my surgeon, so he ordered an U/S and Biopsy. I had it done a few days later and long story short, it was a cyst an scar tissue.

I got myself pretty worked up, worrying if this was going to be something sinister, so the relief was absolutely amazing.

I wish you all the very best and hope it turns out to be something B9 too!

That sounds exactly like what I had with the exception that I don't know if it moved or not.  It was a hard BB right at the end of the sentinel node biopsy scar.  I had both a mammogram and an ultrasound and nothing showed up on either.  I'll be meeting with my surgeon again in a couple of weeks but I figure if nothing showed up on either exam, I can forget about a recurrence.

thankfully I'm so busy this weekend that I don't have much time to think about it - but I'm sure it's nothing.  It can't be - I've had too much reconstruction this year - can't go messing that all up now that I'm finally symmetrical again!  ;)
