I have been on tamoxifen for 6 months now I haven't had a menstral cycle until now is that normal because I am nervous

Hello Chelley38, welcome to the community. It is true that one of Tamoxifen's side effects is irregular periods. See the link below.

However, in saying that if your periods have stropped completely for the past 6 months we would suggest talking to your doctor to get his/her opinion and advice.

Same thing happened to me.  Started T and didn't have a period for 7 months, then I had one (very heavy) and 4 weeks later another, then its been about 2 1/2 months and still nothing.  My obgyn checked me out and wasn't concerned.  My MO also was not concerned, but ran some blood work which showed that I was very close to memopause.  I would talk to your doctor, but I have seen several stories about wacky periods (or no periods) on T.  Best of luck. 

I wanted to add that I was very regular before starting T.
