How long did it take from onset of symptoms to get a dx? Ive been getting the run around from the surgical center here-the dr refuses to hole punch without an MRI-and they said Id have to wait till my cycle for that- 3 wks.

Got in with another surgeon next week for a consult so no clue if I will get the biop

I now have mild flaking, small white pieces of skin and as of a few hours ago a purple mark shaped like but its not a vein ( its not blue like my other veins, its deep purple).

Saw my old dr in the city today (before mark etc appeared) she said it looked superficial and wasnt concerned either.

I feel really boxed in and more anxious as each day passes-its been 3 wks

I had my DX 1 week after finding the enlarged node that had developed overnight.  I saw my PA at 11(she had been on vacation)  on Thurs and was at the Radiology Clinic at 1 for a new mammo with an US and biopsies immediately.  At 8, the next morning (Fri), I had the path. report as expected - IBC.  Saw surgeon on Mon, Rads Dr on Wed and Chemo Dr on Thurs.  Lots of tests and scans and 17 days after DX I started neoadjuvant A/C.

Not all IBC presents with skin issues first.    Though in the 17 days between DX anc starting chemo I did develope peau d'orange but never developed any discoloration - some do, some don't.  Therr are a multitude of possibilkties for skin discoloration/rashes that have no relationship with IBC.  Perhaps an appt with a Dermatologist might be in order - you might be able to convince him/her to do a biopsy or culture.  You say you have swollen lymph nodes and you will be seeing another surgeom next week - yoi might ask about an FBN om a node.

It took me 3 weeks just to get into my obgyn.  Within 2 weeks later I had mamo, ultrasound which detected cancer and quickly had MRI, PET & biopsy after ultrasound.
