Thanks, Nancy. I have got plenty to do but it's difficult being restricted and not getting to see my mother or have osteopath treatments that I need.
-

I haven't been around much but I see Nancy's photo won !! Congrats. I want to apologize for not reading all the comments. I do love all the pictures!
Here is today's moonshot from this morning
. I love the craters. -
Thanks GM. I am a finalist for the sunset with hot air balloon pic but made honorable mention the first orange sunset. Time will tell if I am the winner for the newspaper. I will have three other photos from our county to compete with.
Nice moon shot GM.
Lisa, I hope you are far from all the horrible wildfires. It just is so frightening and sad to see all of the destruction. Your heat wave is unbelievable too.
-
We can use a few prayers right now - we are between two fires on our mountain. Hubby says one has gone out but the other is in timber and going crazy. Even through the scary, there is beauty here too.

-
be careful! The whole west coast is on fire. My son in WA my son in LA and us South East of San Diego
-
That has to be so scary for all of you affected. Praying that the weather will be more cooperative so the firefighters can start getting a handle on these infernos.
Those pics are unbelievable. We had pictures on the front page of our newspaper today of the fires. Just so scary and unreal.
-

They just closed all our highways out of the area..... loads of ash on the cars and the wind is blowing it toward us... We are just in level 1 but Hubby and I had a talk about what we grab and when we leave. On our mountain, there is just one way in and one way out.
-
GM, Your call, but I would be packed up and getting off the mountain - provided there's a safe place to go.
-
GM Praying you get out safely and that your home and property is protected.
-
Safe so far - They just evacuated the town (Glide) 20 miles east of us. We have everything ready if needed.
-
GM, hoping you stay safe and will not have evacuate.
-
Be safe Gma. Been thinking of you all day.
-
-
We are still doing ok just the smoke is so bad, I don't dare go outside... Prayers are probably needed as the wind is going to shift today.
Kind of an eery picture out there today.

This one of the sun just amazes me:

-
-
Gma, Very scary. Stay inside and stay safe.
Lisa, Nice relief after the previous photos. I'm guessing Lake Louise. Those are definitely the Rockies.
-
Lisa, beautiful flowers and view!
-
you are correct Wren
-

I was told that you can't get a wild boar picture because they never stand still. I managed to do it in Rwanda!
-
GmaFoley, great picture!
-
-

My favorite shopping place. Trader Joe's is here.
-
Lisa, that looks like a lovely plate to go shopping - beautiful trees and the beautiful buildings.
-

Working on reflecitions here.
-
That's lovely, GmaFoley!

tonight at sunset in our yard

Hi all. Catching up. I am down with my Mom. She has been failing and fell four times within a 24hr period so her facility can't handle her anymore and her doctor said she needs skilled care which is basically a nursing home. She is in the hospital now. The poor thing has endured a ton of xrays and hours in the ER before getting a bed at the hospital. So far she still only has her hair line fracture in her knee and has suffered no other broken bones from all the other falls after that one.
She has been in the hospital since Friday. We are hoping this one nursing home will take her but they were wanting a full evaluation of her before taking her. It has been an exhausting time for sure.
I haven't been able to keep up with the news so I don't know anything about the current state of the wildfires.
GM, I am guessing you never had to evacuate since you have posted a recent pic. That is good.
I doubt if I will be taking any pics in the near future but enjoying seeing everyone elses.
-
Bandwoman, Good luck with all the hassles involved in finding the right place. She is lucky you're able to be there to help. Wishing you strength to deal with things and peace knowing you've done your best.
-
hugs, Nancy
-
Thanks Wren and Lisa. The Pandemic is making things so much more difficult as we can't really check out nursing homes and visit them in this era we live in now. We are waiting to see if this one place which we hope she can get in will take her. My Mom tonight was saying she just wants to go home so that tells me she is feeling better. I wish we knew where home is going to be. That would make this a bit easier. I am not sure she realizes she is in the hospital or not but I know she gets scared if she thinks I am not there or my sister. So hard.
