1969 we watched the moon landing in the wardroom of a USN Destroyer.

Love seeing all the variety of pictures.
The birds, butterflies, and scenes are beautiful.
I love all the hats, Mums. I hope you will be safe as you travel with your daughter. You are flying on my birthday so I will celebrate your trip vicariously!!!
Lisa, I think maybe your little Skipper is the same as this one......cousins perhaps.
-
Nancy, my google lens app tells me they are fiery skippers males
-
Lisa, I knew it was some type of skipper but when I looked that up a long time ago apparently there are many kinds. What is your Google lens app.? Sound very interesting and helpful.
-
Google lens is just an app for cell phone cameras. It can tell almost all things. It is amazing
-
This afternoon..
-
Lisa, that's a great action shot!
-
We will be allowed back home but will be expected to isolate. I will probably just go and have another covid test as well. We will all be tested before we get on the airplane.
-
Even my DH has broken down and will join us for the second beach week. 😘I can barely wait I get my covid test on Monday for the flight.
-
Here in Toronto we are in stage 3 openingecause we have very low counts now but here we all have to wear masks and social distancing is used everywhere. This flight will be my first risky activity so o bought a special mask and will also wear the visor. Will post a selfie when I get on the plane so everyone can have a good laugh at my travel outfit. Mum is getting desperate

good travels 😊

Hi All,
I can't remember the last time I posted. My work keeps me crazy busy but I still find time for photography. Hope everyone is well. I took this pix a couple of weeks ago at one of the gardens north of us that we finally got around to joining and visiting.

Lovely photos, Scottie and Lisa!

Thanks Cathy, I know you have been through a lot with the loss of your sister. I am more at peace now and trying not to let my Mom's situation which is out of my control get me down.
Mums, safe travels. Glad you DH is now on board.
Scottie, good to hear from you. It has been quite a long time. I am glad you are keeping up with your photography. Beautiful pic of the garden. I went to our local Arboretum on Friday for the first time since the craziness of everything. It is by appointment only. I wanted to share some pics but Friday I think BCO was having issues and I couldn't get on all day and finally late at night I could get through.
Lisa, I love your hummer action shot. Nice job. Your plumeria is so pretty.
I spent quite a while trying to get a good shot of my orchid that I had mentioned that I splurged on in March when the lock down started. I had it delivered to my house and it was in spike so no flowers at all and just a few tiny buds. That turned into a beautiful 32 flowering plant which is almost like a tiny tree. I had a terrible time trying to photography it at night. I will try again tomorrow and share some pics with you and from the Arboretum. I splurged and bought another orchid in spike a few weeks ago. It is starting to get more buds.
I damaged on of my favorite lens just getting it caught on my camera bag. Have any of you had any experience have a lens repair. It was such a silly thing and only the cover came off but underneath controlled major things which allow the lens to work properly. This is the lens that I was having trouble with tonight and I don't know if it was the lens or me but it was not coming out the way I wanted.
It is late. Got to go.
-
Nancy, thanks for your understanding about losing my sister. I'm so glad you're more at peace about your Mom now. I couldn't get on BCO a few days ago either. I hope your lens is okay and it was just trying to get photographs at night that was the issue. Take care.

My first visit to our local arboretum since the virus. It is by reservation only but I felt pretty safe since they limit the number of people there. I do wear a mask which proves to be difficult while shooting but I feel it is important.
-
Wow, that's an awesome flower photo, Nancy!
-
Thanks Cathy. I used this for a greeting card I made today, hence the border.
-
That will wake you up Nancy!!!
I put up a swing for our hummers..but this one is the king of the yard
had to take it through a dirty window..
-
LOL. When I make greeting cards I have to make the exposure brighter because my printer prints too dark.
We only get to see the Rubythroated hummers in our area. It is nice to see your other little guys.
-
Nancy, my printer prints dark too and I also brighten pictures to print if I think of it.
-
my epiphyllum just bloomed today
-
Lisa, that flower is beautiful!
-
Pretty flower Lisa.
-
I love the pink, Nancy!
