Barbe, I love, love, love your photos. Your fall pictures were just out of this world. I enjoy hearing your tips on photography as well.

Nancy C. That sounds like a great trip you have planned! Ginger is adorable. Those eyes!!!
Beautiful sunrise shots!! Makes me with I was an early riser.

Thanks
This is me at the football game with my nephew Matthew. Hes Rocky the mascot for the HS
-
looks like fun!!
-
It does look like fun! They did an employee appreciation lunch at work and a mascot turned up. Turns out somebody had swung it to get Wally from the Boston Red Sox so pop over and see us!
I nipped outside and took this flash photo of one of the dinner plate dahlias tonight.
Here is a little Frog or Toad? I found in the yard.
-
Nancy C. What fun to be a mascot. I hope the Chicago weatherman is wrong for your trip to Chicago if you're going this weekend. Maybe all the rain will come when you are INSIDE the museum.
Lizzysmom, Pretty dahlia. Makes me want to try them again. I found a toad in my garden the other day too. It was just enjoying all the rainwater sitting in one of my empty flower pot bottoms. LOL
Lisa, anymore zoo pics? Love your pics!
The birder movie I talked about is Birders the Central Park Effect on Netflix. Really good movie.

The fall trees around the lake are beautiful. Is it a lake?

I am off to see the tall ships come into the harbor today, if they can make it through the giant waves..
-
A flamingo egg??? Never have I seen one of those before!
The pics are around rivers.
-
OMG Lisa I love your pictures!! I love giraffes and Barbie I love yours too. You guys take such great pictures! Nancy BW what does the Chicago weather man say? I know here in Indy its supposed to rain all weekend and all next week. Good thing about being in Chicago though is there is plenty of inside things for us to do.

Oh what a lovely surprise this morning! Fabulous shots! That purple flower, Orchid? is divine Barbe.
What are the tall ships there for Lisa?
-
Every year the San Diego Maritime Museum hosts a Parade of the tall ships
I really look forward to it.
-
Nancy BW thanks for the forcast, darn rain. Do you have any suggestions on things we shouldn't miss while we are there or good places to eat?
-
Nancy C. I thought I was feeling better and the sharp stomach pains have returned so I will make this short. Frankly I am the worst person to get advice on the city. I won't go into all the reasons for that but I can tell you these things. The Planetarium is a good place to check out. Berghoffs on Adams is a good German restaurant that has been there for years. Of course Navy Pier is a big attraction and you were going to hit that anyway. Lou Malnotti's Pizza (sp?) is awesome. I am gluten free now so I can't eat that any more. Not sure where that restaurant is. I used to go to the one in my town. You can google hot spots of Chicago and come up with many suggestions. Of course shopping the Mag. mile is always an option as well. Storms are brewing here already
. I hope you have a great time and I bet you will no matter what.
