Tamoxifen and surgery

This was posted in another spot but I thought anyone on Tamoxifen should see it here. My oncologist told me I SHOULD stop Tamoxifen now...14 days prior to the exchange (or any surgery) as it can cause clots. He hadn't mentioned this at our first meeting and the PS would not address the issue, told me to ask oncologist.
Thought I'd post in case anyone else has upcoming surgery!

I always stop my meds/Tamoxifen before surgery. One doc said yes, the other no. To me, surgery is risky enough and I stop. Frustrating that they can't even get on the same page for this advice. Ugh.

Honestly if I hadn't seen it on this forum I would have taken it right up til surgery!
