Low platelet count on routine blood work

Just wanted to ask if any of you ladies have encountered low platelet count in your blood work? I'm supposed to be low risk and really starting to worry now. Fearing it could mean recurrence or that its in my bone marrow or something. My oncotype was 10!! Whats terrible is I was feeling so good and not worrying about breast cancer at all. Im like 3 months away from 2 yr. mark...really scared right now!

* wanted to add i never had chemo! just tamoxifen and surgery... no radiation either!

Charz - I know how hard it is not to worry but if your platelets were only low (and you don't say how low) on one CBC it could be an error or the result of bone marrow suppression from a virus or idiopathic low platelets which occurs from an autoimmune process. I'm sure that there are more reasons too. I hope that you get answers to why yours are low soon.

Dear too much, thank you for your message... it is really hard not to worry... i am hoping it is unrelated to bc but it is just so hard to put from my mind until i find out..... now i have to wait to meet with a  hematologist... its just so strange because i feel great....and i want to stop worrying about breast cancer... is this what the rest of my life is going to be like?
