I am having trouble sleeping at nights.

I am currently going through chemo: Abraxane.

Does anybody know if I can take some melatonin?

I Googled it but received mixed messages.

    Thank you for any responses!

    hey sandie

You really need to clear that with your onc.  My onc did not want me taking anything else ( with exception of ibuprofen) that he didn't prescribe while going thru chemo. Wanted nothing to interfere or potentially interfere with the task at hand.  I have heard others say their onc would say no go to stuff unless prescribed the doc.

Dear sandie, Welcome to the BCO community. There is much information and shared experiences here. We hope you will find support through your treatment. As lucky penny suggests it is always beneficial to run everything that you are considering by your oncologist. Here is a link to information from our website Melatonin .  Please keep posting and let us know how you are doing. The Mods

My oncologist recommended it for sleep. I agree though, there seems to be a lot of mixed messages about this. I’m going to check with the cancer center pharmacist before taking anything
